When I was 26 years old I was the first woman to ever drag a motorcyle on Twin City Speedway.  I did it two weeks in a row and was undefeated.  As I put the tropies under my jacket, the guys told me to go home and take care of my children...just in jest.  Today, I am still living the dream and ride a Harley Davidson Roadking.

Hi Polars

The years -  where do they go?  I worked for Pillsbury for 2 years after graduating from North High, then went to the U of MN for 2 more years. I moved to the western suburbs of Chicago in my early 20's where I met and married my husband of 26 wonderful years.  We eventually moved back to the Twin Cities and had 5 great kids (one we imported ie adopted from Korea, the others came the natural stork way).  Ron was a wonderful husband and dad, kind and gentle and very involved in family life, loving me, coaching the kids, great neighbor and winner of most of his 20 yrs of monthly nickel/dime poker games :-)   We were very involved voluntering in our church, the schools our kids went to and also the local community life.   Our travels took us "Up North" most years, but we changed it up sometimes with family trips to the Black Hills, Yellowstone, and did the "Wally World", ala National Lampoon's Vacation, trip to Disneyland and back in our station wagon, which included the Grand Canyon, etc.  We skipped the worlds biggest ball of twine tho.  :-)  He passed away October of 1995 from non-Hogkins lymphoma cancer. We had a lovely marriage and I treasure every minute of the time we did have together.  Since then, I managed to see the last two kids through high school, 4 of them through college and got all five of them married off.   Whew  :-)  I now enjoy my 10 grandchildren.  I still live in the same house for now and just retired. I'm not used to all this leisure time.  :-) I love to do cross stitching and such.   I haven't been to any of the reunions, but may show up for this one. However, if anyone calls me Margaret I won't speak to them.  :-)
