Some of my many life's:

After my unremarkable time at the U of M.  I was invited  to join the armed forces by my friends and neighbors.  I joined the Air Force because I thought it would be more fun to spend 4 years playing with airplanes than crawling in mud.  I was right.

  • U.S. Air Force - Managed to read well enough to get into the Air Training Command and got to stay at Lowry Air Force Base for several years rather than going to more uncivilized places like Viet Nam. Managed to spend 3 years competing in the Colorado Rally Championship, finishing 3rd one year, and only crashing once.

  • Left USAF and went to work for Control Data Institute - Teaching electronics and Computers. Left after 1.5 years when economy tanked and CDC started going down the tubes.

  • Started working for an unknown startup company called "Wang Laboratories" The next 18 years were very interesting to say the least as "Wang" did a roman thing and rose and fell. When I started they had $3,000,000 in sales. When I left they had reached $3,000,000,000 and then went down just as rapidly. Lots of good things happened during those years, yes there really was a Dr. Wang, and I met the married lady that I live with.

  • Screen Printing business - Some say that you should do things before you get too old to do them and I believed it and started a screen printing business in my basement. Pam and I worked our fingers to the bone, made a million dollars and it only cost us a million and a half to do it. (just kidding)

  • Current life - been on my own and doing training, consulting (another word for unemployed). Develop websites - www.flagco.com, www.flagpolewarehouse.com are two sites that I developed. Certified CorelDraw instructor and I do traning for Lawson Screen Products, Inc.

  • My wife, of many years, and I now live in an old house on 3 acres of land in the woods in Acworth, Ga. about 30 miles north of Atlanta.

Comment: I married Pam Mattaway class of "62.  G-d has blessed us with 5 children, 19 grandchildren and another one one the way.

I am an Ob-gyn, in solo practice and still delivering babies, about 150 last year.

We have lived in N. Miami Bch, Fl for over 40 years, except for a 2 year stint in Tampa during the Viet Nam war,  I was lucky to be delivering babies in the airforce.

Regret not keeping in touch with more than a few classmates over the years, but we moved away and life takes people on different paths.

Margie Gustafson (Ulmaniec)

Marital status: Widowed
Children: 2
Occupation: Retired housewife
Comment: Hi, My name is Margie ( Ulmaniec) Gustafson. I graduated from North High School in 1961. I got married Sept. 9, 1961 and had been married to my husband for 48 1/2 years when he passed away. I have been a widow for over 6 years. This Sept. would have been our 55th wedding Anniversary. We moved with our son and daughter to Wyoming in 1987. The Big Horn mountains surround our town. After our son and daughter graduated from college and got married my husband and I built a two story log home 6,000 feet up on the face of the Big Horn Mountains. That was 25 years ago. I have stayed up here since his death taking care of our mountain home. Over the years we have raised 4 dogs, 3 horses, 2 calves, many kittens and a lamb. Life has been beautiful in our mountain town. But lonely since my husband passed away. We have five grandchildren and one great grandchild. I am fortunate our children live close by. I was blessed with a great marriage and family. As Always, Margie
