I am looking forward to seeing everyone in August 2011. We are working hard to make this a great reuninon but it will only be great if you all are there. I have been married to my wonderful husband Denny Konn since 1965. We have 2 grown children and three beautiful granddaughters. Our daugher, Lisa, has two children ages 8 and 4 and our son, Ross, has one child aged 16 months. They are both happily married to great people. They are 2 more children I did not have to give birth to. I am retired and enjoying every minute of it. My family comes first in my life. I am very blessed that all of my siblings and my children live in the Twin city area. I am still dancing after all these years. I am taking a tap class at the Lundstrum Center for the Performing Arts. It is named after Dorothy Lundstrum who was my teacher. My daughter and now my granddaughter are taking lessons as well. I love to act and have done alot of amateur theatre. My husband is retired from Northwest Airlines and therefore we are able to travel. We have had some health issues in the past years but have survived them (thank g-d). The ups and downs in my life have made me very grateful for the life I have now. I am looking forward to sharing more with you all at the reunion. |

Graduated U of MN in Metallurgical Engineering. ROTC there led me to Ordnance training in Maryland and missile systems maintenance at Huntsville, AL.Married Janice on Dec. 22, 1966. She finished teaching in Burnsville in January so she could accompany me in Feb. to my duty in Germany. First assignment was at the Nuclear depot in Fischbach on the French border that Jean Dixon predicted would blow up on a certain date. It didn't. I was transfered to a Major's slot at Darmstadt, Germany and promoted to Captain. We were on a bus tour in the middle of Norway when the Russians invaded Prague. Most of our fellow passengers were Germans who lived close to Prague. It was a tense trip back. Rare at that time to spend all three years in Germany without getting sent to Viet Nam. Got out of service over there and traveled a bit. After returning to Mn, I worked as Maintenance and then Foundry Superintendent at a steel foundry. Thirty five years ago I started a proprietary welding business making hard surface wear plate for heavy industry. We have two children. Our daughter is married and lives near Lake Harriet. Our son is a mechanical Engineer who works for Bosch in FT Lauderdale. We have lived in Mound on Lake Minnetonka for the last 39 years. I am active in my church and was chair of building committees for remodeling the church and grade school, and also for planning and building the Fine Arts Center and Media Center for Mayer Lutheran High School. We enjoy going to Twins and Timberwolves games, gardening, antiquing, raising tropical fish and traveling when I can can spare time from work. |
