Comment: Go figure. In 2009, I wind up married to a classmate. A Homey. DeLane Steckman, became DeLane Soposnick. Funny how life works out. We look forward to celebrating our Golden reunion with all the little kids we knew in or before 1961.

After Five of the greatest years of my life, I lost DeLane to cancer in Oct. 2010. I'll miss her.

Mike Spillane

Marital status: Married
Children: 3
Occupation: Retired
Comment: After high school I wandered through life for about four years, attending college, working jobs between periods of college, and finally joined the MN National Guard in late 1964.

I met my future wife at the Clock Drive-in and we married in 1965.  Had three children between 1966 and 1971 and currently have four grandchildren with no more expected.

Worked for Donaldson Company (filtration company) for 13 years and took a position with a competitor in Chicago for two years from 1978-1980.  Returned to the Minneapolis area and founded Powder Technology Inc., a material processing company involved in size reduction and size classification of chemicals, minerals, plastics, resins, carbons, etc.  Finally obtained a college degree in marketing so I could train my replacement without being unable to answer questions being asked by applicants and eventual replacement.

Retired from PTI in 2003 but am still a partner in the company so I try to go in every so often and stir things up, cause a little trouble and leave before anyone realizes what I'm doing there.

Since graduation I have lived in Columbia Heights, Bloomington, Apple Valley, Chicago, Apple Valley again and Lakeville,  Next year we intend to move to Northfield where the pace is a little slower.

We do travel quite a bit, partially due to a bad habit I have of investing in timeshare resorts.  We do enjoy it and are able to include family and friends in many of the trips.

Looking forward to the 50th reunion and exchanging stories about naps, medications, surgeries, aches/pains, etc.  Hopefully, we'll spend more time talking about the good life experiences we have had over the past 50-60 years.
